Ten things I am doing for my health

I follow this great blog Meet me at Mikes and Pip always comes up with these “list things” posts that I simply love and today I decided to participate.

Perhaps my list will sound to you a bit “easier said than done” but I promise that it is real and it works! Take one step at a time and you can also do it… I dare you to try! 

1.       Taking things one day at a time
I used worry too much about the future and I ended up with high blood pressure in my early 30s! Now, I try to take it easy. When I have a hard day at work I deal with the problem during the day and leave it behind when I go home. 

2.       Drinking Avocado+banana smoothie every day!
It’s not only good for the skin/hair but it’s a feel-good fruit too.

3.       Eating quinoa
It’s a very versatile grain and it can be eaten any time of the day, for breakfast, lunch or dinner, gluten free, it’s to make your body happy. I guarantee!

4.       Writing
In my blog!!! It's a great outlet to share things about myself, my life, my creative moments, ideas, passions, frustration… and whatever else I want...I advise everyone go and get yourself a blog, it's so therapeutic!

5.       Yoga
Exercise with relaxation, combo made in heaven.

6.       Spending quality time the people I love (even if via Skype only!)
From a person with hermit tendencies to you...isolation is the worst thing ever! It’s good to share the heavy load with people you love, take words of advice from the wise and of course celebrate when good things happen…it makes no difference if  they are in another continent!

7.       Reading great books
From my 60 books in a Year Challenge and great bloggers like the ones in my A la carte list and Pips!

8.       Crocheting because it keeps me sane!
I’ve started when my dad passed and I never stopped. 
Though I don’t crochet as much as I used to - due to the lack of time - 
I always keep a small project going.

9.       Going cold turkey on TeeeVo
Sometimes all we need is a break from bad news. 
Taking a two-three days break is my remedy to maintain healthy and positive brain waves!

10.   Life is simple
 “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”
And that’s it.
