Post it 2/2015

Outro dia estava lendo uma essay escrita por George Orwell chamada Politics and the English Language, apesar de obviamente o texto se referir a outra lingua ha elementos que ele aponta que são ao meu ver aplicáveis para escrita em qualquer língua e contexto.

“A scrupulous writer, in every sentence that he writes, will ask himself at least four questions, thus: What am I trying to say? What words will express it? What image or idiom will make it clearer? Is this image fresh enough to have an effect? And he will probably ask himself two more: Could I put it more shortly? Have I said anything that is avoidably ugly?

I like it a lot.

Note: Word choice. Description. Opposition. Surprise. Key words and phrases.  Read and engage. Move pass it your initial reaction to the writing :" I like it or don't like"
